Home Staff

What the EPR means for you depends on the work you do.

The changes to your daily work – how you document, order, schedule, prescribe or hand over – will vary by role. The shift to shared record-keeping will feel different to a ward nurse, a pharmacy team, an A&E consultant, a medical secretary or an outpatient admin.

Across all roles, the EPR brings three kinds of change. How you work changes first – the documentation, the ordering, the systems you use day to day. How information moves – the flow between shifts, departments and sites. How care is supported changes over time; the record becomes a resource the whole team works from. EPR change leads, change champions and superusers will be your first point of contact. Specific training for your role will be given, and practise opportunities made available, before go-live.
